Room-by-room BTU calculations: dimensions, window area, insulation, external walls, exposure. We use different multipliers for gas (65°C flow) vs heat pumps (45°C flow) — it matters.
One radiator: 2–3 hours. Full house (8–10 radiators): 1–2 days. Full house paired with a heat pump: 2–3 days because pipework usually needs upsizing too.
For a like-for-like gas swap, usually not. For heat pump systems, pipework almost always needs upsizing to 22mm on the primary flow and return. We assess this in the survey.
