Heat pumps designed for your home.

Most heat pump problems start upstream of the engineer — wrong size, wrong flow temperature, wrong radiators. We spend a week on design before a single pipe is cut.

How it works
The running cost argument

Cheaper than gas, with the right tariff.

Heat pumps use electricity, which per unit is more expensive than gas. But they produce 3–4× more heat than the electricity they draw, and dedicated heat pump tariffs (like Octopus Cosy) cut the unit price in half during off-peak hours. The maths works — when the system is designed correctly.

  • 300%+ efficiency — 3kWh of heat per 1kWh of electricity
  • Dedicated heat pump tariffs (Octopus Cosy, etc.)
  • Works below freezing — specified for Staffordshire winters
  • No gas safety check required — one annual service
Estimated annual running cost · 3-bed semi
Gas boiler£1,200/yr
Heat pump · standard tariff£900/yr
Heat pump · Octopus Cosy£650/yr

Estimates for a 3-bed semi using OFGEM average unit prices. Actual numbers depend on insulation, design, and usage — we share your specific projection in the quote.

Our process

Survey. Design. Grant. Install.

01
Heat loss survey

90 minutes on-site. Room-by-room, window-by-window. You get the full report in PDF.

02
System design

A week in the design office. Sized for <45°C flow, matched to your pipework and radiators.

03
BUS grant filed

We handle the full £7,500 application. You never touch a form.

04
Install & commission

3–5 days on site. MCS sign-off. We come back after a month to tune it.

Questions?

Heat pumps, answered.

The five things every homeowner asks on the first call.

An air-source heat pump extracts heat from outside air — even below freezing — and uses it to heat your home and hot water. Running on electricity, it produces no emissions at point of use and delivers 3-4 kWh of heat for every 1 kWh of electricity it draws.
A typical install is £9,900 – £13,500 before grants. The £7,500 BUS grant drops that to £2,400 – £6,000. We confirm the exact number after the heat loss survey — no surprises, no upsells.
Most Staffordshire homes are, once the system is designed properly. The honest answer only comes after a heat loss survey — we measure room by room, check your existing radiators and pipework, and tell you straight whether we'd put one in ourselves. We turn down jobs where the maths doesn't work.
Yes — when it's sized and designed correctly. The horror stories you hear come from systems sized on a spreadsheet rather than a survey. Our designs are sized to the MCS design day for your postcode (typically −2°C) and tested for every room.
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) is a £7,500 government grant toward an air-source heat pump for eligible homes. We apply on your behalf — you never touch a form. The grant is applied directly to your invoice before you pay.
Typically 3–5 days on site. Before that: a 90-minute heat loss survey, a week in our design office, and we file the BUS grant paperwork. The install itself is the fast bit — the quality comes from the design.
